On this journey you discover picturesque landscapes, the fascinating lake district, busy cities and remote villages with a lively past while you experience Finnish culture, traditions and the Finnish laid-back way of life first-hand. Beside Helsinki with its many places of interest like for example the Senate Square, the Sibelius Monument and the Rock Church you will also visit other attractive cities like Tampere, a perfect combination of industrial city and nature idyll, Kuopio with its popular Market Sqaure and the observation tower Puijo and of course Turku with its wonderful archipelago. The program also includes other heritage-protected cities like Porvoo and Rauma (UNESCO).
You will not only learn many interesting facts about Finnish design, architecture and people who have influenced the Finnish way of thinking but you will also have the opportunity to visit a typical Finnish sauna and have dinner in a former fishing village directly at the Baltic Sea in an enjoyable atmosphere. Of course a visit in an orthodox monastery is another must-see and part of the program. During a guided tour you learn a lot of interesting facts about the orthodox faith.
